I’m sick and tired of everyone wasting time whining to each other over every “crisis” that arises on this earth. Does anyone realize how far we’ve come and how much time we waste on whining? Is there anyone reading this who would rather be thrown back into the dark ages, or the times of slavery, or perhaps live in Poland during the year 1939? Do you think these people may have had it worse than you? Does anyone understand the simple reality that this life is often very ugly, difficult, and always full of trials and tribulations? Why do we still sit around and expect everyone to be perfect and expect our ignorant decisions to result in a utopia? Why does it take some major catastrophe to wake us up and stop being complacent for five minutes? Why do we forget that FOREVER, there have been unfortunate souls living amongst us that are in poverty, sickness, war, oppression, and certain death?
It is simple….It’s because we are part of a convenient, ignorant, and selfish culture that praises idiotic things. We forget that all the material things around us are (perhaps fun & great), but for lack of a better word; CONJURED UP! Yes, conjured up. Gold, diamonds, currency, possessions, and so on are things that we prize because we are told to prize them. Yes, they are valuable to us, but what do they actually mean? They mean that we are comfortable being distracted by them instead of being distracted by the realities in life. So think about it, did money create houses, food, water, production, and your society? NO they did not. PEOPLE DID. That is a fact. Objects were simply the currency changing hands that were agreed to have some value or meaning. But the truth is, we could have always made things and prospered, and can always do so, regardless of what object is valued. It is up to us to stop conjuring up nonsense and pretending that we must stop progress simply because someone does not throw money at us. Remember, it is all in our imaginations.
Here is an example:
If I have water, and you have food, we can both benefit from each other, right? However, if we are greedy morons that demand RIDICULOUS amounts for our goods or services (Greed), then neither of us benefit. This is what happens today and every day. Now, on the other token, if we simply use our minds and help each other out…we can all survive, and so on…and so forth and blah blah blah.
So please my fellow human beings, stop complaining, stop sitting on your a**, and go DO SOMETHING for your fellow man for goodness sakes. It is not about right or wrong, it is about either living for something, or believing in man made nonsense for the rest of your life. No one is infallible, no one. Time to wake up.

If the so called “top leaders” and wanna-be presidents in our country are literally the best that we have to offer, WHY CAN’T THEY WRITE THEIR OWN DAMN SPEECHES?
What is this Hollywood? Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and everyone else in between…don’t be fooled by people who claim to be so down to earth, but need a publicist to express their thoughts for them. I admit, it is great marketing.

It is a great honor to be able to interview this amazing band from NYC. Cheers Antibalas and thanks for keeping the afrobeat grooves alive. -EgoAssassin.com
****Interview with Stuart from Antibalas***
EA: Can you give us a brief history of the band?
Antibalas: Relatively painless birth. showed early promise as a child, but didn’t socialize well. began cross dressing and enjoying extreme varieties of self amusement. then the rains came and everything changed. we settled for stories around the kitchen table. father would often improvise plastic for chewing gum.
EA: How many members are currently in the band?
Antibalas: Sometimes a lot, sometimes too many. rarely too few.
EA: What are the major influences on the Antibalas sound, styles, and ideas? (not only music)
Antibalas: Childhood has been a major influence on us all. our childhoods, that is.
EA: What inspired the name for your record entitled “Who is This America?”
Antibalas: Collective self effacement.
EA: Is it true that you guys have played in over 20 countries worldwide?
Antibalas: Texas counts as another country, right?
EA: What is your favorite country or city to play in?
Antibalas: Next month it’s France, 100 percent.
EA: Did Antibalas get a chance to perform with any musicians that were truly admired?
Antibalas: I truly have admired every single member of antibalas.
EA: What are 2 major accomplishments that you as a band would like to achieve in the future?
Antibalas: Another record would be nice. that can count as two.
EA: Do you have a favorite Antibalas song?
Antibalas: I like the guitar part to el machete, makes me dance funny.
EA: Who writes the songs?
Antibalas: Lady luck and jesus collaborate, and different perverts watch through a key hole and take notes.
EA: What do you think is the biggest challenge facing our society today?
Antibalas: Fear i guess, but i don’t wanna say for sure. …it sure has me in knots.
EA: What bothers you the most about the music industry today?
Antibalas: Its lack of industriousness.
EA: With such a big group, one must wonder….does your band get along with each other?
Antibalas: Its the best and worst.
EA: What is the most important message that Antibalas wants to give to their fans or those listening?
EA: Much thanks to Stuart and the Antibalas fellas. Long live the music and passion you bring to the scene.

The Matrix trilogy was recently on television and I was reminded of how out of hand that trilogy got (the first one is fine). Did the writers lose their minds on parts 2 and 3, or were they just off that day? And what’s the deal with this raver nonsense in every facet of “future” life in the Zion society? You’re telling me that people who are being exterminated by machines hundreds of years in the future narrow their style down to rave music and 80’s leotards? Are you kidding me? The acting and story got bad enough, but Matrix two and three peppered on the tight leather and club attire a little too much.
My theory is that the writers are all glo-stick waving morons who actually think that rave music and leather will be around forever. Crummy.

I don’t mind going through the motions every now and then, but this daily routine that everyone participates in is simply getting ridiculous. When you stop and think about life and what we really are, it is much less than you think. We make up distractions and silly job descriptions to make ourselves seem so important, but in reality we are extremely small and yes, equally insignificant in the big picture. We take our jobs and our status in society so damn seriously and we follow suit with our arrogant behavior each day. Not to say that we should not aim to be above average people with goals, accomplishments, and positive change. And everyone should know that being significant in life is most rewarding when it’s from those who are closest to us.
I suggest that we spend more time on positive changes and real matters in life, instead of all the fluff. We just buy stock in fluff every damn day! There is too much fluff that we participate in. We dumb down everything by making ourselves “busy” and “important”, but we forget that we are just people. Without the houses, clothing, cars, offices, and latest cell phone, you would be just some poor naked sucker. Back to the cave man days. (that was a joke)
But you should never worry about not having a phone, electricity, or god forbid a vehicle….well not unless a disaster or natural phenomenon strikes, then I’m sure you will be ready to change your life and start the campaign to save humanity.
Maybe you can start now by focusing on the true meaning in life. Don’t keep the blind fold on forever.

Over 60 people died today in one of the worst car bombings in Baghdad this year, but many people decided to spend time complaining about the “controversy” over gay marriage being made legal in California. People lost their mothers, fathers, children, and loved ones, and we spend our time whining over differences. Ridiculous and minute differences as we always have. It perhaps is time to focus more on the fire in the kitchen rather than the cracks in the basement.
I urge my brothers and sisters to start waking up and seeing what death, destruction, and real oppression is happening and has happened around this earth. Make some positive changes for once and stop whining about every lifestyle choice your neighbor makes. Agenda, agenda, agenda. We may be slowly losing our minds, but it’s never too late to change.
Here is a link to the car bombing story from Iraq today: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,367982,00.html
