You Can Do It, You’re Just Lazy and Complacent

September 26, 2008

I’m sick and tired of everyone wasting time whining to each other over every “crisis” that arises on this earth. Does anyone realize how far we’ve come and how much time we waste on whining? Is there anyone reading this who would rather be thrown back into the dark ages, or the times of slavery, or perhaps live in Poland during the year 1939? Do you think these people may have had it worse than you? Does anyone understand the simple reality that this life is often very ugly, difficult, and always full of trials and tribulations? Why do we still sit around and expect everyone to be perfect and expect our ignorant decisions to result in a utopia? Why does it take some major catastrophe to wake us up and stop being complacent for five minutes? Why do we forget that FOREVER, there have been unfortunate souls living amongst us that are in poverty, sickness, war, oppression, and certain death?

It is simple….It’s because we are part of a convenient, ignorant, and selfish culture that praises idiotic things. We forget that all the material things around us are (perhaps fun & great), but for lack of a better word; CONJURED UP! Yes, conjured up. Gold, diamonds, currency, possessions, and so on are things that we prize because we are told to prize them. Yes, they are valuable to us, but what do they actually mean? They mean that we are comfortable being distracted by them instead of being distracted by the realities in life. So think about it, did money create houses, food, water, production, and your society? NO they did not. PEOPLE DID. That is a fact. Objects were simply the currency changing hands that were agreed to have some value or meaning. But the truth is, we could have always made things and prospered, and can always do so, regardless of what object is valued. It is up to us to stop conjuring up nonsense and pretending that we must stop progress simply because someone does not throw money at us. Remember, it is all in our imaginations.

Here is an example:

If I have water, and you have food, we can both benefit from each other, right? However, if we are greedy morons that demand RIDICULOUS amounts for our goods or services (Greed), then neither of us benefit. This is what happens today and every day. Now, on the other token, if we simply use our minds and help each other out…we can all survive, and so on…and so forth and blah blah blah.

So please my fellow human beings, stop complaining, stop sitting on your a**, and go DO SOMETHING for your fellow man for goodness sakes. It is not about right or wrong, it is about either living for something, or believing in man made nonsense for the rest of your life. No one is infallible, no one. Time to wake up.

World History – Hook, Line, & Sinker

September 8, 2008

I know that these historians and archaeologists have made concrete discoveries for several centuries that prove certain historical events, cultures, wars, etc. But am I the only one who gets the feeling that we really don’t know as much about world history as we think we do? I mean, you hear these people rattle of the entire history of the world as if every single book or story is factual. Nonsense. Think about how we argue even about today’s current events and how we bend the truth even in our daily lives or resumes. Be realistic…do you actually think that our perception of history is even close to accurate? Regardless of peoples religion, we can barely even prove our own “facts” about history and we definitely don’t know what tomorrow brings. I think it is time to accept the fact that we know less about the actual details in history than we pretend to.

Educated guesses. We can’t even save our own people from natural disasters and we claim to be “experts” about where life has been and how every people group came about. Arrogant.

Presidents Are Top Notch

September 4, 2008

If the so called “top leaders” and wanna-be presidents in our country are literally the best that we have to offer, WHY CAN’T THEY WRITE THEIR OWN DAMN SPEECHES?

What is this Hollywood? Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and everyone else in between…don’t be fooled by people who claim to be so down to earth, but need a publicist to express their thoughts for them. I admit, it is great marketing.

Missing the Amazing Things in Life

September 1, 2008

All of my life I’ve noticed that the people take several amazing details for granted while existing on this planet. I’m certainly not the exception, but I’ve slowly come to realize that I can’t waste any more time following mass opinions and routines in order to value the same things as a “everyone” else. In regards to people taking things for granted in life, a perfect example is the instance of crossing paths with someone for the first (or last) time in our daily lives. And no, I don’t mean some “love at first sight” moment, or even an introduction to a new friend or co-worker. I am talking about the daily phenomenon of meeting or even making eye contact with a person for the first time and realizing that you will most likely never see that individual for the remainder of your natural life. This means that person jogging outside of your house you said “hello” to, and the taxi driver who drove you a few blocks into the city, and the high school kid who served you coffee at your local coffee shop. Do we even think of how amazing it is that these instances are often the only times we see these people for our lives? Why is this not important to us? We get to share a small moment of time with people who have been living near us or far from us, but with similar pain, similar trials, similar goals, even similar passions, and instead of cherishing these moments, we go about our day without blinking an eye.

I think about this and I think about what we usually view as being “amazing” in life. And usually that definition does not involve meeting or seeing strangers. In fact, what we consider amazing in life is probably the farthest thing from meeting strangers and most likely involves us getting what we want and moving on. Marriage, childbirth, and graduation on the other hand, are widely accepted milestones in our lives. Not to say these things should not be cherished, but when you think about it, we see our loved ones and friends all the time. On the other hand, we see people on the streets who for all we know might have a lot in common with us, or could be dead by now. Do we care? Not really.

As for me, I cherish these small moments and it helps me to truly ask the right questions when meeting people for the first time. I say enough of these formalities and nonsense traditions in life, the next time you meet someone for the first and last time, I suggest you reach out to encourage them and even share with them how honored you are to have met them in this lifetime. It may seem strange to many people, but I personally would feel encouraged that sometime took time out of their “busy” schedule to be real with me for a moment.

Are You Really “Too Busy”?

June 27, 2008

too busy cell phone wallstreetI’m sick and tired of hearing the phrase “I’m busy”. This empty slogan seems to be emerging as the new catch phrase to give us a sense of importance or meaning in life. But regardless of your religion, culture, or geographic location, I would argue that this statement is meaningless and simply nonsense. You can add this slogan to the rest of the coin phrases we use to go through the motions in life, exaggerate our importance, and talk without saying anything.

Think about it. What does it actually accomplish to share the fact that you are “busy”. Why is this the ultimate response in every day conversation? Will someone explain what this answer has done for anyone. And my problem with it more than anything is that it is a big lie in the first place. We act like we are forced to be so busy when we are the ones choosing to be busy. Not to mention that we use this as an excuse not to do things that are actually more important in life….like staying in touch with people. Too busy? I say go pound sand. When you die, the world will keep turning….How is that for “too busy”.

Stop Taking Yourself So Seriously & Just Live

June 25, 2008

I don’t mind going through the motions every now and then, but this daily routine that everyone participates in is simply getting ridiculous. When you stop and think about life and what we really are, it is much less than you think. We make up distractions and silly job descriptions to make ourselves seem so important, but in reality we are extremely small and yes, equally insignificant in the big picture. We take our jobs and our status in society so damn seriously and we follow suit with our arrogant behavior each day. Not to say that we should not aim to be above average people with goals, accomplishments, and positive change. And everyone should know that being significant in life is most rewarding when it’s from those who are closest to us.

I suggest that we spend more time on positive changes and real matters in life, instead of all the fluff. We just buy stock in fluff every damn day! There is too much fluff that we participate in. We dumb down everything by making ourselves “busy” and “important”, but we forget that we are just people. Without the houses, clothing, cars, offices, and latest cell phone, you would be just some poor naked sucker. Back to the cave man days. (that was a joke)

But you should never worry about not having a phone, electricity, or god forbid a vehicle….well not unless a disaster or natural phenomenon strikes, then I’m sure you will be ready to change your life and start the campaign to save humanity.

Maybe you can start now by focusing on the true meaning in life. Don’t keep the blind fold on forever.
